On Saturday 23 September, we were excited to open our Studio doors to celebrate the opening of the 2023 Annual Studio Exhibition. We were thrilled to see so many students, friends and family, and members of the public present.
This year the exhibition featured 60 sculptures completed by students over the past year, everything from the abstract to the figure, animals and reliefs, works in plaster and bronze, sculptures carved in alabaster, limestone and marble. A big congratulations to everybody who exhibited this year and on the high quality of work on display!
We awarded two Prizes this year: Directors’ Choice went to Brendan Toole’s plaster portrait ‘Oscar Wilde‘ (pictured above left) and the People’s Choice Winner was Letitia Tunmore for her marble sculpture ‘Female Figure‘ (pictured above right). Congratulations to Brendan and Letitia!
Finally, we would like to extend our thanks to all the teachers and volunteer students who participated in the set-up (including cleaning) and pack-down of this year’s exhibition. The studio space was transformed unrecognisably during the ASE period due to all your hard work.
If you missed the exhibition, we will be uploading photos to our website and socials later this month, keep your eyes peeled.
