The relationship between two figures can give us a unique insight into the abstract possibilities of space and form. This workshop will encourage the student to look for new and interesting solutions to the challenges of depicting the complexity of 2 bodies in relationship to each other, bringing a fresh eye to the exploration of rhythm, negative space, mass and balance.

Jenny will guide both the beginner and the more experienced artist through the process involved in working with clay from the life model. Students will be encouraged to push their work beyond a merely faithful representation of the body and develop a more personal language and means of expression.

During this 9 week course students will have time to bring their work to a point where it is ready to be fired, exploiting the facility and beauty of clay as a material that can be transformed from the raw and impermanent to a final and enduring sculptural piece.
