We have a NEW teacher joining us in Term 4. Long time TBSSS friend and alumni Peter Bartlett will be joining the TBSSS team and will be teaching the Thursday EVE Workshop whilst Arielle Morris is on maternity leave.

About Peter: Peter studied sculpture at Elam School of Fine Arts at Auckland University before working with Theatre Corporate and the Mercury Theatre in Auckland as a designer. Peter has a long association with TBSSS, he was a student under Tom Bass AM, back in the Broadway studio days, he has also been a collaborator on TBSSS public art projects and commissions.

Peter and his partner, Lyn Rowland, established a workshop “Pier Productions” in 1991, building and painting scenery and props for theatre, events and display. With his vast practical experience, Peter has assisted other artists/fellow sculptors with armatures and mould making.

With Peter now teaching the Thursday EVE Workshop, Peter will be able to share his knowledge and advice to help guide students with their sculpture projects, including the best ways to build more complex armatures.
