TBSSS Alumni, Teacher and Student News

Big congratulations to TBSSS Alumni Jonathan Foley whose talents have been recognised twice recently. Jonathan won Highly Commended at the Neerim Bower Sculpture Prize 2024 for his sculpture pictured above Art Gives You Wings. He will also be a finalist in the Sculpture Bermagui Prize and Exhibition which will run 9 – 17 March. We wish Jonathan all the best with the Prize.

TBSSS teacher Monika Scarrabelotti is currently exhibiting some of her recent sculptures at Project 90 Gallery as part of their In the Flesh group show. The exhibition runs in Paddington until 26 February.

Current TBSSS student Effie Milos has an upcoming exhibition at The Shop Gallery Glebe. The show titled Odyssey features a body of work Effie produced in 2019 when she travelled to Greece to spend time learning and making. The body of work focuses on an odyssey, journeys involving more than travel to a predetermined destination. The exhibition will open on 15 March at 5pm and continue until 20 March.

If you are a TBSSS student or Alumni and have news to share about your sculpture practice, we would love to hear from you! Get in touch here.
