For Term 1, 2026, this term workshop will run for 9 weeks and students attend a 3 hour workshop each week. These workshops are for all skill levels and aim to develop students’ knowledge and understanding of all aspects of creating sculpture in a range of media. Students are encouraged to create works they want, Teachers are there to give guidance and advice when necessary. Students can start on any term throughout the year.

What you will learn

Our workshop classes run for ten weeks with students attending a three-hour class at their preferred time.

You can start on any term throughout the year. These workshops are for all skill levels and aim to develop your knowledge and understanding of all aspects of creating sculpture in a range of media.

What you will create

Frames tangible results, especially important for creative disciplines:

  • Depending on the complexity of your sculpture, you may finish your sculpture in a single term, or it may take multiple terms. Your teacher will be able to guide you. 
  • You will learn skills to start or advance your personal sculpting practice
  • You will gain confidence working independently in various sculptural media
  • You will learn practical knowledge of studio processes

Meet Your Teacher – Arielle Morris

Arielle Morris has been a teacher at TBSSS since 2019. Arielle teaches the Thursday EVE Workshop. Arielle is a figurative sculptor whose practice centres on the human form, its gestures, tensions and emotional undercurrents. She works mainly in clay and plaster, with occasional ventures into resin and glass. Her forms sit somewhere between the intimate and the archetypal. In 2018 she was a finalist in the Tom Bass Prize for Figurative Sculpture, and she has exhibited regularly at Clara Street Gallery. From 2021 to 2024 Arielle co-curated Clara Street Gallery…
