Must see exhibitions featuring TBSSS sculptors

TBSSS teacher Monika Scarrabelotti is currently showing ten of her sculptures in a group show titled Femmes Fatales on the Frontier at Grainger Gallery in Canberra. The exhibition features six female artists including Monika who is the only sculptor. The show opened on Thursday night and closes on 4 December. TBSSS Chair Carol Crawford has an exhibition titled Curls and Curves opening today (Saturday) 19 November from 3 – 6pm at Maunsell Wickes Gallery in Paddington. All welcome to the opening. Carol will be showing a curated selection of her alabaster sculptures alongside exhibitions by painter Leonie Barton and sculptor Paul Bacon. Carol’s exhibition will run until 29 November.
Lastly, TBSSS long-time student Simon Gandevia has an exhibition opening at Clara Street Gallery titled Old Found and Remade opening next Saturday 26 November from 3 – 5pm. All welcome to the opening. Simon will be showing a series of sculptures sculpted from sandstone, wood and found materials. All nett proceeds will be donated to Medicins Sans Frontieres Australia. Simon’s exhibition will be on show until the end of January 2023.
