Peter Bartlett
Peter Bartlett studied sculpture at Elam School of Fine Arts at Auckland University before working with Theatre Corporate and the Mercury Theatre in Auckland as a designer.
Peter has a long association with TBSSS, he was a student under Tom Bass AM, back in the Broadway studio days, he has also been a collaborator on TBSSS public art projects (Rainbow Serpent at Erskineville Public School), as well as completed artist commissions (Cricket Captains for Cootamundra, and currently working on bust of William Davis for St Patricks Church in The Rocks.)
Peter has exhibited sculptures at The Blacktown Show, Hunters Hill Art Show, Northern Beaches Art Show, and Defiance Miniature Show in 2021.
Peter and his partner, Lyn Rowland, established a workshop “Pier Productions” in 1991, building and painting scenery and props for theatre, events and display. With his vast practical experience, Peter has assisted other artists/fellow sculptors with armatures and mould making, including Tom Bass AM, Margo Hoekstra, Carol Crawford and Karen Alexander.
