Tom Bass Students exhibit in VIVID Festival

Congratulations to Reuben Young and Oliver Tanner – alumni of TBSSS, who both have light sculptures as part of this year’s VIVID Festival in Sydney.

Working collaboratively with Japanese artist Masakazu Shirane, Light Origami invites viewers to explore the nature of reality by entering a giant 3D kaleidoscope. Collaborators ARUP (Tim Car / Neelam Gopalani) and Inge Liljestrom helped bring Reuben and Masakazu’s sculpture to life. Click here to read more about Light Origami. This work can be found at Alfred St, Circular Quay.

Oliver’s sculpture titled Lux Forma presents the organic form of an elongated wave (10m-long), illuminated from within by a cascading sequence of colour. Oliver collaborated with Dark House Production Design (Mark Dyson) to create this work. Click here to read more about Lux Forma. This work can be found at Campbells Cove, heading towards the Rocks.

VIVID Festival runs until 8 June, be sure to head down to the Festival to see all the amazing light works!
